Gifts

I wake to the sound of a Bull Bull singing. It's a sweet song from a sweet bird. It's very Morocco. I take a look outside and there's a gift from a young couple we've only met recently. They've been on a seven day holiday and ended up in Imsouane in one of the lovely, romantic, converted fishing boats that Jamie Campsite has had constructed, to lure just these sort of young people looking for a chance to be close, take a swim and be in love. These two lovelies, Charlie and Tam, were just that. Enjoying every moment of being here and being together. They had no idea that they would end up chilling out in a small fishing boat, overlooking the ocean. It was not what they planed, it came about by having a direction and then going with the flow, being open and being honest. Needing to touch base with life, talk to young and old ( us? ), eat fish with the locals and make love as the sunsets. What a holiday they have had. They disappeared in the early morning light this morning, leaving a flower on our table with love. xxx Love to you too

Simon brings us hot bread to start our day which is his custom now, it comes with a smile and a gentle comment on life, as this sweet man is always reflecting.

His long and varied life as a schoolteacher of Art has left him, now retired, more interested than ever in ' All things Simon '. He embraces his zen meditation under the guidance of his mentor and antagonist, Jean-Loup.

Simon moves towards peace and for that, a lot of 'baggage' has to be left behind which for all of us is a life times endeavour. We are all passed on inherited 'shapes',

we all accumulate new ones as we grow up and grow older. And some of us prefere to shed these 'skins' like a catarpillar.

The hope, of course, is to become the butterflies we all intrinsically are. The 'skins' stick like glue and life's work is there to be embraced or there to be ignored. We all die and are therefore equal.

This is the 'stuff' of all religions and practices of the spiritual kind. Good luck Simon, Good luck everybody, Good luck Myself.

Judging on the image here, it looks like I'm going to need it more than most!!!

And all these thoughts before breakfast! It's going to be another long and lovely day at Imsouane.
