Cathedral Point

So this is where it starts. Take one older out of practice surfer and put him in the Atlantic ocean and see what happens. The tension rises! He sits and waits for a wave and hopes he can still get up onto his feet.

And off he goes, he's got to his feet and is looking for adventure, will he take the chance and go left?

He's looking a bit wobbly, no wonder paddle boarders are becoming all the rage these days! They're already on their feet and are mostly older fellows like this one

But he hangs in there and preservers

And starts to look like he used to know what he was doing, an elephant never forgets!

Ooo nearly a cut back there, fancy dancing

And with a bottom turn, the old sea dog has had his first wave in 12 months and my, do those shoulders feel it!

and feeling well pleased with himself, this ancient mariner leaves the water for another year! Well maybe not, we'll see how it goes with the shoulders and as long as the waves don't get too big, we might have another Go.!!

This rare footage of the unknown soldier, I mean surfer was taken by ace photographer Krystyna Beynon, who patiently watched the old fool ' ave another go and even bothered to record it for posterity.
Brave woman as the shots might well have been just the one of him flying into the air as he tumbled off the wave after this one!

All good fun and a great way to start our stay at Imsoune.
